Breakers Competitive BU16 Team Capture Premier Qualifying Tournament

I wanted to report yet another wonderful event that occurred this weekend involving our teams.
Our BU16 team, Coached by Miguel Barragan, traveled this weekend to San Diego and Temecula and secured 1st place in t e BU16 Presidio Premier Qualifying Tournament. They were undefeated in the 4 team tournament with a 1-1 tie with Surf, a 6-2 win over San Diego United, and a thumping 5-0 win over our local rivals Vista Storm in the final game of the day.
This is a fantastic achievement for this team who have been close to winning this a few times before. They are a tremendously talented and close knit bunch of players, who truly deserve this reward. Coach Miguel has nurtured this team over the last 3 years and they play some of the prettiest and exciting soccer you could ever ask to watch.
I would also like to point out how loyalty to your team and team mates does pay dividends in the end. In this day and age of Club hopping it is nice to recognize some players who, despite offers to play at other Clubs, decided to stay because they believe in our Club, our program, our coaches, and their team mates. Who says loyalty does not bear reward?
Many, many thanks to all of the families and players on this team, but special thanks to the following players who joined this team at BU12 and were there to enjoy their rewards last night;
